Event: 4:30 – 6:30 p.m.
Lighting: dusk (approximately 5:45 p.m.)
WHERE: Carmel Civic Square (In the event of rain, the event will be held in the Carmel Fire Department Headquarters Fire Bay).
WHAT: “Holiday on the Square” – Carmel ’s annual holiday lighting ceremony presented by the City of Carmel and the Carmel Arts Council. The first 400 children will receive goodie bags filled with surprises donated by event sponsors. There will be jugglers, carolers, balloon artists and a visit from Santa, two of his reindeer and other North Pole animals. Holiday entertainment will be provided by the Clay Middle School Choir, Carmel Symphony Orchestra Brass Quintet and Central Indiana Dance Ensemble. Refreshments will be provided by Chipotle, Marsh, Shapiro ’s Delicatessen, Starbucks, and the CFD Auxiliary.
Photos with Santa will be available for purchase through the Carmel Arts Council for a small donation of $2 per individual or $3 per family. Proceeds benefit the Carmel Arts Council Scholarship Fund.
KidsBMV will be on site making free children’s identification cards, sponsored by St. Vincent Carmel Hospital .
We encourage attendees to bring unwrapped gifts for those in need in the local community. They may be placed under the “giving tree” at the Civic Square Gazebo. (note: no plush toys please)
