Holiday Kids Kamp December 19, 2010

Long lines and heavy traffic during the holidays require extra patience for parents with kids in tow. With some of the busiest shopping days of the year quickly approaching, Painting with a Twist is offering adults a little break in the action with its first holiday Kids Kamp series.

Beginning December 20, the Ferndale-based art studio will host a series of painting classes for children ages 7 through 15. Parents are invited to drop their kids off - with a snack and beverage to enjoy during the class - between 12:30 and 12:45 p.m. for a two-hour session, beginning at 1 p.m. One painting will be featured each day, including the "Curly Christmas Tree," a festive work of art that makes a great addition to the home's holiday decor, and "Seahorse," a piece that can be enjoyed by families year-round.

All supplies - including easels, stools, canvases, acrylic paints, paintbrushes, water and aprons - will be provided.
