Holiday in the Gardens December 11, 2010

Visit Washington Oaks Gardens State park for the annual Holiday in the Gardens Celebration! The gardens are beautiful this time of year and come alive with Holiday decorations. Come do your Christmas shopping with our Arts and Crafts vendors, listen to live music, and eat some great food in the events field. Also, make sure to visit the "Holidays Around the World Playground" where children can play holiday games and participate with hands-on holiday arts and crafts from different cultures around the world. Children can also share their holiday wish list with Santa and Mrs. Claus. This year we will be having a Gingerbread house contest for all ages! Your Gingerbread house will need to be dropped off at the park between the hours of 8:00 and 9:30 a.m. on December 11th, and remain on display until 4:00 p.m. Prizes will be given including a "Mrs. Claus's Choice" award.
