Holiday Events At Stuy Town December 12, 2009

Strolling carolers, a Chanukah menorah lighting, Toys for Tots and a full line-up of free heartwarming holiday flicks bring holiday cheer to Stuy Town from Saturday, December 12 through Wednesday, December 23 at various locations within Stuy Town and Peter Cooper Village in Manhattan. Classics such as A Christmas Story, How the Grinch Stole Christmas, and 8 Crazy Nights will be screened. NYU’s Jason Arce Quartet will perform to spread the holiday spirit. Shoppers will find unique gifts and sample desserts by Tawny Ong at special events with Stila and Jersell’s Jewelry. A free nutrition lecture on how to “beat the sugar blues” will help everyone navigate the holiday party season. And, New Yorkers can even head to the Christmas Tree Sale to pick out their favorite spruce.
