Almost time for the 9th annual Holiday Craft Fair, December 1st and 2nd at Roseville City Hall! Spread out over two levels, more than sixty local crafters and artists will be selling their all-handmade wares. Items include soaps and balms; natural stone, fused glass, beaded and other fine jewelry; photography; pottery; knitted items; fairy and bird houses; paintings; and much more. Be sure to visit the special “Green Gifts” room, filled with crafters who make things of a “green” nature, such as by recycling materials, or items that help you live a more green life.
After a bit of shopping, take a break for a cup of coffee or a bite to eat, with food served up by the Messy Giuseppe folks. Normally they sell out of their popular food truck; sadly their permanent affiliate location, Cafe Zia (voted Best Coffee Shop in Roseville last year) has just permanently closed its doors. There’s also an exciting silent auction fundraiser by the Friends of Roseville’s Harriet Alexander Nature Center (FORHANC) offering many wonderful items on which you can bid.
Sale hours are 10:00am - 5:00pm on Saturday, 12:00 - 4:00pm on Sunday. There’s no admission charge and plenty of convenient, free parking. City Hall is located at 2660 Civic Center Drive, at the corner of Lexington Avenue and County Road C (across from the OVAL/Roseville Skating Center).
The Holiday Craft Fair is put on by volunteers from the Harriet Alexander Nature Center (HANC); crafter fees support environmental education programs. For more information about the event, including a list of participating crafters, a slideshow of some of their work, and much more, go to HolidayCraftFair.com.
