Families can enjoy a variety of fun Holiday Break activities at The Corning Museum of Glass, December 22 through January 5 (note: the Museum is closed December 24-25 and January 1). See Giant Glass Ornament Trees and Snowmen: The Museum's 14-foot-tall tree made entirely of glass ornaments makes the perfect backdrop for your family's holiday photo. Also on display is a life-sized glass snowmen family, made by the Museum's glassmakers.You Design It; We Make It! at the Hot Glass Show: Visitors can submit drawings of objects they'd like to see made in glass and glassmakers choose drawings at select glassmaking demonstrations throughout the day to create in front of live audiences.Make Your Own Glass Ornament or Snowman: Visitors of all ages can blow their own glass ornaments and snowmen in daily 40-minute glassblowing experiences. Open to all ages (as young as preschool), the ornament-making experience costs $27 per person. Advance registration is suggested (www.cmog.org/myog).Explore the Galleries with a Winter Wonders Hunt: Children can use special activity sheets to find winter-themed objects in the Museum's collection of glass art and history.
