TCT's youth players present this staging of Louis Sachar's book. Stanley Yelnats figures he's cursed. In fact, his whole family has apparently been cursed ever since his great-great grandfather Elya forgot to carry an elderly Gypsy woman up a mountain in his homeland of Latvia. And now he's been sentenced to 18 months at Camp Green Lake digging holes in the scalding Texas sun because somehow he got accused of stealing a pair of sneakers. He's been told that digging builds character, but Stanley discovers he's actually digging because the Warden is looking for something. Soon, all the pieces of Stanley's life will collide with the long-buried history of Camp Green Lake, as he and the outcast boy everyone calls Zero unearth an astonishing surprise.
