Hojas Rojas number one rule is no acoustic guitars. Though their latest album features synthesizers and triangle, all recordings were done in analog in the band’s hometown of Minneapolis. The group has only two influences: Jack White and Kurt Vonnegut. Northville’s The Morgan Fair features every creepy-sounding instrument you can think of and a strangely calm and clear vocals. Windsor’s The Golden Hands Before God comes flailing through the tunnel with a brand new 7-song EP in tow.
