Hoist by Our Own Petard is a group exhibition and series of workshops and experiements, curated by Lauren Velvick and Pascal Nichols. Material references to domesticity and costume alongside incidental images of the seemngly mundane, jostle with desperately visceral objects and pictures in the work of Kerry Hindmarch, Darren Adcock, Pascal Nichols, Joincey and Susan Fitzpatrick. Hoist by Our Own Petard brings together five bodies of work in diverse mediums, to explore the place of the artist within societies, sometimes hostile, financial and social structures.
