Hofesh Shechter, one of the UK's emerging choreography talents, presents a double bill including audience favourite Uprising and a newly commissioned work. The evening begins with Uprising, performed by a cast of seven male dancers. The piece uses a unique approach to narrative supported by an intense soundtrack and powerful choreography. In Your Rooms is a much-anticipated new dance piece incorporating Shechter's trademark physical contemporary dance style with live music composed by Shechter himself, under the musical direction of Nell Catchpole (The Gogmagogs). The cream of performance talent including Amy Hollingsworth (Michael Clark Dance Company, Bonachela Dance Company), Ino Riga (Richard Alston Dance Company, Random Dance), Leon Baugh (Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company, Stan Won't Dance) and Young Jim Kim (Akram Khan Company) come together in this programme. In Your Rooms has been commissioned by Southbank Centre, The Place and Sadler's Wells.
