This interdisciplinary panel of scholars will present research published in the recent volume of the Hmong Studies Journal. Hmong Studies Journal, www.hmongstudies.org, is an internet-based journal and the only peer-reviewed academic publication devoted to the scholarly discussion of Hmong history, Hmong culture, Hmong people and other facets of the Hmong experience in the United States, Asia and around the world. Kathleen A., Culhane-Pera, MA, MD, is Associate Medical Director of West Side Community Health Services and author of "'Die Another Day': A qualitative analysis of Hmong experiences with kidney stones." Linda Gensheimer, PhD, LISCW, of St. Cloud State University is author of "Learning from the experiences of Hmong mental health providers." Zha Blong Xiong, PhD, University of Minnesota is author of "Developing Cultural Sensitive Parent Education Programs for Immigrant Families: The Helping Youth Succeed Curriculum." Hmong Studies Journal has published nine online issues with a total of 54 scholarly articles since 1996.
