Las Cruces, NM –“History Notes” is a new monthly program held on the second Thursday of each month from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. at the Branigan Cultural Center. The programs are informal discussions focusing on local and regional history lead by staff and volunteers. The first meeting is on January 14, 2010 and the topic is the historic Camino Real through Doña Ana County. The discussion will be based on the book Following the Royal Road by Hal Jackson (University of New Mexico Press, 2006).
The Branigan Cultural Center, 501 N. Main Street, is located at the north end of the Downtown Mall in Las Cruces. All programs are free and open to the public.
