Terrorism, war, public hysteria, government surveillance were part of life in the 1910s-20s when America fought another “war on terror.” How did Minnesota, the land of progressive politics, respond? The History Lounge returns, as author and historian Annette Atkins and Society curator Patrick Coleman take a revealing look at the North Star State in a state of fear. Held in connection with the traveling exhibit, “The Enemy Within: Terror in America, 1776-Today.”
