This class is for those who have an interest in learning historical processes (sometimes referred as alternative or non-silver processes). The class will cover two relatively easy iron-based processes that were introduced in the early part of the history of photography: Cyanotype and Van Dyke. Students will try different kinds of printmaking/watercolor papers, hand-apply sensitizers on them, expose under the sun, and process them in the darkroom.
$300 + lab fee of $50
