Three Hiram students traveled to Arusha, Tanzania for a 6 week project working with a group called Women in Action Tanzania (WIA) who provide home health care for HIV positive families. Women in Action Tanzania have started an orphanage, a school and microcredit trust bank. Additionally they manage a small farm to feed the 300 families they work with. Professor Fillner accompanied the students to investigate and observe microcredit practices in Tanzania. Come and learn about their experiences and how it relates to entrepreneurship, the college's mission and this year's theme of Complicity.
Convocation will be held from 12:30-1:30pm in the Kennedy Center Ballroom
