The next book discussion will focus on Loie Fuller to commemorate her 150th birthday. Loie was born in Fullersburg in 1862 and grew up in the area. She knew she was born for the stage so she moved to Paris to follow her dream of becoming a dancer. Loie had her own style of dance and was extremely famous due to her innovative dance techniques. She broke the mold of traditional choreography and paved the way for other pioneers in modern dance.
Please join us in reading Loie Fuller: Goddess of Light by Richard Nelson Current and Marcia Ewing Current.
