Hindustani Vocal Music Festival September 11, 2009

Festival of Hindustani Vocal Music. Celebrating Gharana Gayaki. In collaboration with Mariwala Foundation, Kilachand Devchand Foundation, Saroj Jhaveri Foundation and Jasubhai Foundation. In Hindustani music gharanas are identified by their own distinct styles resulting from specialisation with respect to the emotional content (rasa), voice production and the specific techniques used for unfolding the raga. Four eminent exponents of gharanedar music present the vast and rich musical legacy of their gayakis, enabling the listener to appreciate the aesthetics of each style.
