Hillel of Silicon Valley, supporting Jewish life on five Silicon Valley colleges and universities, invites the community to attend this year’s “Pillars of the Community,” be held on April 3, 2011 at 11:00
am at the Levy Family Campus (14855 Oka Road, Los Gatos, CA).
With the help of sustaining sponsor Loring Ward, the Pillars event recognizes three exceptional volunteers who have been instrumental in Hillel’s successful purchase and renovation of its new Hillel House
near the San José State University Campus. Being honored are: Eli Reinhard, the House Benefactor, has made a leadership gift to name the new house in memory of his parents and his uncle. David Fenster, the House Architect, has been responsible for the design of the new facility and John Nadler, House Project Leader, has managed the ambitious process of bringing the new house to life.
This spacious and welcoming new building, located at 44 W. 11th Street in San José, will be able to serve better the Jewish students at five local colleges.
At this Pillars event, students representing each
institution will also be honored: Neta Hamou, Santa Clara University School of Law; Masha Lazer, West Valley College; Sabina Manasherob, Foothill College; Leah Press, San José State University; and Idan Raz,
De Anza College.
