Celebrate summer with a festival of flowers! Spend a day with thousands of blooming daylilies, vendors selling nature-related items, antique tractors and steam engines, delicious food and live bluegrass music by The Back Creek Valley Boys and The Speakeasy Boys. The kids will enjoy fun garden projects and learning the difference between good bugs and bad bugs. For the grown-ups, learn about anything from caring for the modern day iris to deterring deer. I attended this event last year. It was lots of fun and the workshops are very useful, definitely a great way to spend the day.
