Coming to Hilarity Bites @ Newton Aycliffe Leisure Centre on May 13th 2011:
Silky
Liverpudlian-in-exile Silky has been a full time comedian since 1997. He did his first gig in 1994, and his fourth gig (the final of the 1995 BBC New Comedy Awards alongside Lee Mack, Daniel Kitson and Julian Barratt) was shown on BBC1’s Stand-Up Show. Other awards he has failed to win include the Leicester Mercury Comedian of the Year (prize-winning runner-up 2000), the Liverpool Echo Arts and Entertainment Award (the only person to be nominated twice: always the sodding bridesmaid).
Silky has performed internationally, including gigs in China, the Philippines, the Gulf, Singapore, the US, the Melbourne Comedy Festival, and all over Europe, including at the Glastonbury Festival, where no-one lobbed bottles of wee, much to his relief. He performed at the 2004 God’s Kitchen Global Gathering, the 2005 Big Bang at Santa Pod, and in the houseband for the Kilkenny Festival.

Patrick Monahan
Hailing from Middlesbrough, Patrick is a regular on the UK comedy circuit, and is in demand at comedy clubs throughout Europe, and also in the Middle East, thanks to his chatty, friendly style mixed with his hilarious story telling.
As well as being one of the biggest names on the comedy circuit, Pat is also highly in demand as a studio warm up, working on shows such as Friday Night with Jonathan Ross an The IT Crowd - and he's often to be seen on-screen on The Paul O'Grady Show (and the many replacements that have followed) as well as contributing to many talking head programmes and appearing on various Comedy Central shows.
An original writer and clever improviser skilled in audience interaction, Patrick's versatility, likability and engaging stage presence has popular appeal, be it as a stand-up, comedy character, host or presenter!

Having made his debut in 2008, Andrew has quickly established himself as one of the most exciting talents on the comedy circuit, reaching the final of the Laughing Horse New Act of the Year competition in 2009 and scooping the Hilarity Bites New Act of the Year title in the same year.
The Irishman followed up his success by reaching the Hackney Empire New Act of the Year final in 2010, whilst performances at leading comedy festivals including Manchester, Leicester and Hull have further boosted his profile.
