Hiking 101 with Bayou City Outdoors & REI September 13, 2011

There’s a lot more to hiking than just finding the trailhead or owning a pair of hiking boots. We will be going over what you need for your own hiking adventure and some of the many great trails in and around Houston and Texas. Whether you are looking for an urban hike or a backcountry hike, it is important that you know where you are going, wear the correct clothing and shoes and have the right supplies for your journey. You will be on your way with valuable information from Bayou City Outdoors’ Kelly Howard, who has led hikes in Texas and around the country. 7:00 - 8:30PM; Free event!
