Legend has it this beautiful park got its name from a young girl named Jenny who jumped off of a cliff to escape a Native American attack. It is said that Jenny still haunts the area, occasionally startling hikers and campers. Join us as we explore this beautiful park with awesome views of the surrounding hills and the far-away Delaware Water Gap, get a peek of eerie Ghost Lake and step foot on the infamous Shades of Death Rd! Be sure to show your Halloween spirit in costume (as long as you can easily hike in it) to appease the local spirits!
After the hike, join us for an optional lunch nearby…that is, if you aren’t too scared to eat, muwhahah. ;)

Hike Leader:

Specs:
Classified as moderately difficult with a few big uphill and downhill parts, although much of the trail has gently rolling terrain.
5.5 miles and will take approx 3 hours.
As with all hikes you must be in good, athletic shape. This is NOT suitable for beginners.
Sweeper:
If the group size is larger than 10, we are going to look for a volunteer to act as a sweeper. Sweepers will walk at the end of the hike line and will make sure the group stays together.
What to bring:
Hiking boots and 2 liters of water (required). We recommend a light snack to keep your appetite satisfied. Please make sure you have a bag to carry out your garbage.
Inclement Weather:
Any precipitation beyond a drizzle will cancel this hike. Tickets will be refunded.
Directions:
Take Rt 80 West until exit 12. At the end of the exit ramp, make a left onto Rt 521 (Hope Blairstown Rd). Proceed approx 1.2 miles until the blinking red light and make a left onto Johnsonburg Rd. Go about 1.1 miles and make a right on Shiloh Rd. (Do not take Jenny Jump Rd). Go another 1.2 miles and then bear right at the fork. Both left and right are State Park Rd, so be sure to go right (the sign for the park will point you right). Follow that and you will see the big wooden Jenny Jump sign. Shortly after, you will come to a mini triangle in the road. Bear right (it will almost seem straight), then follow the little unpaved gravel/dirt road immediately after that triangle to the right. The lot is at the end of the very short road.
How to find the group:
Meet in the parking lot described in the directions section.
