estled at the tip of Monmouth County is true New Jersey gem! Almost completely surrounded by water, Sandy Hook is much more than one of New Jersey's most popular beaches. The combination of beach dunes, holly trees, saltwater marshes, coastal defense ruins, a nineteenth-century fort, and a historic lighthouse make this trip one not to miss! After our adventure, we will optionally go out to eat / socialize. Note: David will not be waiting for late people. In fairness to those who arrive on time, he will be starting the hike on time. Specs: The hike is classified as easy to moderate and should last 4 hours. The total length of the hike will be about 6.5 miles long and we will walk at an easy pace.
