LA Trail Hikers will be heading out to Eaton Canyon Falls. This hike will start from the Eaton Canyon Nature Center parking lot area and continue on the Waterfall within the Canyon. We will try to make a pitstop at the Nature Center to get everyone familiar with local wildlife. We will meet from 9:00am to 9:25am in the far north end of Nature Center Parking lot. The hike is about one hour to the waterfall, so 2 hours approximately for a round trip hike. The hike in general is really easy. It's the last 1/2 mile prior to getting to the waterfall that gets interesting. We will be doing lots of boulder hopping across the stream, many times. You can keep dry as long as you are on the rocks, but there's always a possibility you can get your shoes wet if not done correctly. Just before the waterfall there is a small sector where you may have to climb just so you can get to the level above us (maybe about 5 feet high...so it's not a real big climb). Overall this is a relatively easy hike with a 1/2 mile which is not terribly hard, but will require you to make about 10 stream crossings over rocks and bolders. The waterfall area is very calm and worth seeing! PLEASE MAKE SURE TO LOOK AT THE FULL HIKE DETAILS PAGE - LA Trail Hikers
