Young Liars impetus is, well, fun. They exist in order for collections of hip youngsters to slap on their head bands and punish dance floors. Sweaty, sweaty dancefloors. The kids spent over a year in the kitchen slapping together modern electro influences as the main entree, with side dishes of post-rock and general college rock before they decided they were ready to play in front of a live audience. Three influences rise above upon first listen; imagine Cut Copy took on TV on the Radio and enlisted the hyper enunicated vocals of Ezra Koenig from Vampire Weekend. Take those groups, and then add the most crucial element of all: Lasers.

Young Liars intend to show people a good time, and therefore emphasize their live show by pursuing a greater sensory experience than 98% of local acts today. Being aware of the correlati on between dancing and vulnerability, Young Liars pastorally create a dance accessible space for concert-goers within the cover of darkness, sweet-ass lasers, and their home-built lighting rig.

They are an interesting young group, as they have already in near infancy garnered sold-out shows, tours, and a promising EP to
be released February 2011. So far 2 singles have been released: Colours & Marathon, as well as a remix of Colours by Teen
Daze.

Driving bass lines, danceable rhythms, and textured synth layers. Lust is electro pop crafted by Tyler Mounteney and born of his love for post punk, minimal wave, disco, and glam.

Initially a one-man laptop-based project, Lust began as a live set of experimental music to be performed and altered in real time. Frustrated that a laptop alone left little room for physical expression, Tyler began to explore the use of physical MIDI triggers to create rhythms and melodies.

Soon after, Mike McDiarmid was brought on to add live drums and percussion, further enhancing the live show. The project continues to evolve with respect to both recording and live performance.
