Three nationally recognized HIV/AIDS experts delve into three key questions about the domestic epidemic: 1) Why have we never really made a dent in the HIV infection rate? 2) Why is the HIV infection rate in some U.S. communities like that of communities in western/southern Africa? 3) Why do so many people have HIV for so long before they are tested? This event is part of the Positive Action 2010 events addressing pervasive ignorance, silence and denial about HIV/AIDS in our communities. Attendees will gain a deeper appreciation for the various challenges of the domestic HIV/AIDS epidemic and the lives of people living with the virus.
