He’s My Brother She’s My Sister seem to invite a broad range of colorful words to describe their music and performances: “flamboyant folk,” “psych-acoustic,” “estranged and glamorous” and “vaudeville-y.” No doubt this is due to their mélange of musical styles, both modern and antique; their eccentric attire and sense of expression, both sincere and theatrical; and, their unique instrumentation, which includes a rhythm section bolstered by a tap dancer.
Brother and sister Robert Kolar and Rachel Kolar split vocal duties, with Robert on guitar and kick drum and Rachel on tambourine. Their voices range from boisterous to introspective, from breezy to emotive. Lauren Brown adds full-body percussion with her fluid tap-dancing and drumming. Oliver Newell adds stand up bass with joyous flair. Aaron Robinson plays lead guitar on a lap slide, veering from nuanced psychedelica to American roots riffs.

He's My Brother She's My Sister played 150+ shows in 2011 and the band will hit that mark again in 2012. These have included capacity and sold out shows in NYC, Brooklyn, Austin, Miami, Nashville, DC, Atlanta, Los Angeles, Santa Barbara and San Francisco. The band has performed at the Sundance, High Sierra, Lowdown Hudson River Blues and SXSW festivals plus they will appear at this year's famed Austin City Limits festival. He's My Brother She's My Sister has shared the stage with Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, Neko Case, The Knitters, The Growlers, Alexander & Friends, Devil Makes Three, Fitz & The Tantrums, Local Natives and Charles Bradley.

Led by songwriter Jared Griffin, Sioux City Kid came together in 2009 and has since morphed, shifted and evolved into a commanding 7-headed beast of a band. Mixing the roots of Americana, Rock, and Delta Blues, Sioux City Kid quickly gained notoriety in San Francisco for their whiskey-fueled performances and anthemic melodies like "Little Hell" and "Wishin' Well". Within a year of the bands formation, they had won Live 105's Battle of the Bands, played Twitter's inaugural Twestival, and performed at BFD alongside such heavy hitters as Spoon, Hole and the Limousines at the Shoreline Amphitheatre. the release of their first LP, 2011's Speak of the Devil, but Softly, was greeted with a sold out evening at San Francisco's legendary Great American Music Hall. They have headlined at-capacity and packed houses at prestigious venues throughout San Francisco including The Independent, The Great American Music Hall, Cafe du Nord, and Bottom of the Hill. In 2012 the band was honored to open for Emmylou Harris. The band is headed back into the studio this winter and their next album, Minutes, Miles, Troubles & Trials, is set for release in 2013.

Song Preservation Society is an alternative folk trio best known for their stirring vocal harmonies, prolific song writing, and charismatic live performances. Most often compared to Crosby Stills & Nash or Paul Simon, Fleet Foxes or Bon Iver, SPS delivers an authentic sound that is both timeless and fresh.
Band mates Trevor Bahnson, Ethan Glazer and Daniel Wright met at Berklee College of Music in Boston, where they formed a rock band called 7 Orange ABC. Post graduation, the group moved to California's bay area, where they lived together, wrote songs and performed together nearly every day. Soon enough, they began performing as an all-acoustic trio on the side in an effort to "preserve" their own songs that didn't quite fit the style of 7Orange. By 2010, the project had taken on a life of its own with a rapidly growing fan base and what seemed like overnight, Song Preservation Society had arrived on the scene.

The members of Song Preservation Society currently reside in Los Angeles and Berkeley, CA, performing in the NorCal and SoCal regions. Recent performance highlights include opening for Brett Dennen, playing sold out shows at Sunset Strip's House of Blues and Lafayette's Town Hall Theater and appearing at this year's SXSW Festival.
