Now is the time to plant vegetables and herbs for your own fresh flavors for fall. Join the Friends of Washington Oaks to celebrate the Sixth Annual Herbs in the Gardens. Traci Anderson of Seminole Springs Herbs Farm will present a workshop "Fresh Flavors for Fall" at 11 am. Whether you have a garden or container on your patio, learn what to plant, how to plant, how to make them grow and the correct time to harvest. Fresh herbs and vegetables will add zest and spice to your fall meals. At 12:00pm, The executive chef from the Hilton Garden Inn will provide a cooking demonstration, showing various dishes that can be prepared with herbs. USDA Certified Organic herbs and vegetable plants will be available for sale in conjunction with the Friends monthly Second Saturday Plant Sale.
