Rock for a cause under snowy cover this season as Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino unveils this year’s spectacular “Holiday Tree Trimming” charitable event, part of Hard Rock International’s 5th Annual IMAGINE THERE’S NO HUNGER Campaign.
Sixteen 12-foot-trees each representing a South Florida charity will be trimmed to tell the “story” of its community need and origins. Participating charities and their partners include the American Heart Association/Magic 102.7 FM, Angels Pediatric Heart House, Ann Storck Center, ARC Broward, Canine Assisted Therapy, Children's Diagnostic & Treatment Center, Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, Feeding South Florida, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition of Broward County, Not My Daughter/101.5 LITE FM, Starlight Children's Foundation/NBC 6 South Florida, The Pantry of Broward, The Pride Center at Equality Park, The Russell Life Skills & Reading Foundation and Women In Distress. The tree that warms the most public hearts through a voting process will garner a $5,000 cash donation to its cause.
As an added incentive, all voters will be registered to win a $500 Seminole Paradise Shopping Spree.
Guests will receive one additional entry into the prize drawing for each five non-perishable food items donated to help fight hunger in our community. Suggested donations include canned meats, soups and vegetables, packaged granola bars and cereal, peanut butter and jelly.
Post-voting, well-wishers will enjoy fresh blown snow, and fresh baked cookies and eggnog for $1. At 9 p.m., Seminole Hard Rock Hotel & Casino employees will take part in a special fashion show emceed by Rock With U Entertainment.
