As a 2010 NYCSpaces/Con Edison Composer-in-Residence at Queens' Flushing Town Hall, jazz pianist/composer Helen Sung presents her culminating presentation showcasing her residency project "Sung With Words." A program of poetry (by poets including Dana Gioia, Langston Hughes, Gwendolyn Brooks, and Emily Dickinson) set to original music, Sung will be joined by the wonderful vocalist Carolyn Leonhart.
