French-Canadian choreographer Helen Simoneau presents four works, including three NYC premieres. 'Celui Qui Regarde' offers strong musicality, intersecting patterns, ritual and inevitability. 'The gentleness was in her hands,' a solo and sensory dichotomy, wavers between an eerie doll-like-automated quality and exquisitely intimate moments. Simoneau's newest work explores personal space with tentative, humorous and potentially volatile interactions between the five dancers. The evening closes with 'Adventures in a Foreign Land,' a fun and quirky quartet with live music.
