Heavylight was founded in 2003 by Scottie Lang and Aaron Ostrowsky, in an attempt to bring forth fresh new musical ideas without preconceived notions of what sounds good or bad but just feels right. Now Ostrowsky pushes the light further forward solo in what he calls "performance-production" in which man and machine merge into one cohesive musical instrument. From funky progressive house, to gritty downtempo hiphop, to electro acoustic and distorted industrial, all of the musical elements are broken down into individually controlled pieces that, remixed in real time, along with live keyboards and guitar, give each performance an energy on par with the greats.
