Co-op 28 Gallery is pleased to present
Heather Arndt: Thin Milk
November 17- November 30th, 2011
Opening Reception Saturday, Nov. 19th from 6-9pm
In her solo exhibition Thin Milk, Heather Arndt considers that which nourishes us, and that which does not. Presenting an environment of paintings and sculpture, Arndt seeks to authenticate a mostly contrived environment by playing with the ideas of diversions, identity and accountability. The decisions we make daily of what to consume and to partake are held to task and played out with displaced awareness and distracted design. Citing popular culture and mythic tales, Arndt’s world is overseen by creatures of flight, and inhabited by figures engaged in determining which ideas of self are valid and which are manufactured.
Heather Arndt is a Los Angeles based artist. She earned her MFA from Claremont Graduate University in 2004, and her BFA from San Diego State University in 2000.
