As part of American Hearth Month, Chandler Regional Medical Center remains dedicated to raising awareness of heart disease and increasing the community’s knowledge about the importance of early detection and prevention.
Join us for one of two free seminars to hear from renowned heart attack prevention expert Jeffery Fine, Ph.D., and cardiac clinician Dorothy McClure, R.N., on the dangers of undetected heart disease and how to get on the right path toward better heart health.
For those attending the seminar at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will need to complete the HeartAware™ online risk assessment and qualify for an additional screening to have a heart scan completed on-site for $50. Payment will be due at the time the heart scan is performed. Those participating in the Sun Lakes seminar must also complete the HeartAware™ online risk assessment and qualify for an additional screening to receive a certificate good for a $50 heart scan throughout the month of February.
Heart disease is the leading cause of death for men and women in the United States. Unlike some diseases, it can be largely predicted and prevented. You could be among the 70 million Americans who have heart disease and don’t know it. If you don’t find out, you have a 50 percent chance that your first symptom will be a heart attack and death.
To take our free online assessment to learn if you’re at risk for heart disease, visit HeartAwareTest.com. Those who qualify may have their heart scan immediately following the session at Sun Lakes Heath Center, 10440 E. Riggs Road, First Floor Community Room, from 2:45 to 5 p.m. This seminar is FREE but registration is required for this event and space is limited. RSVP to ResourceLink toll-free at 1.877.728.5414 or ResourceLink@chw.edu.
