Healthy Holiday Hints at the Miami Florida Blue Center’s November Weekly Wellness Events November 6, 2010

WHAT: The Miami Florida Blue center invites Miami-Dade residents to its November Weekly Wellness Events. Themed around healthy tips for the holidays, these free events are open to the community.

Plus, all Floridians, whether a BCBSF member or not, can receive the seasonal flu /H1N1 vaccine for $15 or less* starting October 1 through November 20 (while supplies last). The Miami Florida Blue center will be offering flu shots from 11:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. every Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Individuals must be 4 years or older to receive a flu shot.

• Saturday, November 6, 3:00 p.m. “Holiday Belt Buster Recipe Exchange” – Join us for a special holiday recipe exchange social and get tips on how to make your holiday favorites healthier to help avoid holiday weight gain.

• Thursday, November 11, 9:30 a.m. “Fitness Check-Up” – Receive personalized advice and one-on-one fitness tips.
