Health Fair and Blood Drive July 22, 2010

Join the Crystal City BID for Crystal City's Health Day! The health fair and blood drive will take place on Crystal Drive between 18th and 20th Street (the same location as the farmers' market).

Inova Blood Donation Services will be present with their bloodmobile to help willing participants donate blood and save lives. Blood donation will take place from 10:30AM - 2:30PM; reservations are not required but strongly encouraged. Register online with Inova to set up an appointment. All willing participants who complete the registration process will receive a free banner bag from the Crystal City BID!

The majority of the health fair will occur from 11AM - 2PM with several health booths and screenings. The following will be featured from Inova Health Systems:

* Blood Pressure
* Body Composition
* Dermaview Facial Skin Screening
* Body Mass Index Assessment
* Ask the Nutritionist
* Tobacco Cessation & Carbon Monoxide Screening
* Stress Booth

Sport & Health will also sponsor blood pressure, body composition, and movement analysis screenings. Their resident chiropractor, Dr. Holt, will also be present with his massage therapist providing both postural screenings and chair massages. And don't miss the fitness class demonstrations from Sport & Health's popular group fitness instructors!

Body Rays will sponsor chair massages at their booth with their popular massage therapist.

Get ready for the Crystal City Twilighter just two days after the health fair with Pacers Running Store's booth featuring gait analysis.

Crystal City Chiropractic will also be present at the health fair.

The event will be held rain or shine.
