Trilby DeJung, an advocate for health care will speak on the health care public policy. She has recently been appointed by Governor Paterson to serve on New York’s Medicaid Managed Care Advisory Review Panel and the newly formed Health Care Quality and Cost Containment Commission. This event will be held on November 3, 2011 at the Nazareth College Arts Center, room A14 at 7:00 pm. This event is free and open to the public.
Tilby is a founding member and serves on the executive committee of Medicaid Matter New York. She also serves on the Board of the Rochester Center for Disability Rights and the Medicare Part D Coalition, and participates in the Partnership for the Uninsured.
Trilby began her legal career as a public defender with the Legal Aid Society in Brooklyn, New York. Prior to joining Empire Justice in 2003, Trilby spent three years on the lawyering faculty at New York University, served as Deputy Director of Policy for the AIDS Institute at the New York State Department of Health, and litigated civil rights complains for the New York City Human Rights Division.
