Discover a healthier you at The Health Museum, Houston’s only interactive science center, during Spring Break. The Health & Wellness Expo 2010 is the perfect opportunity for families to explore fun and entertaining ways to stay active and healthy all year long. Kids can play games and make crafts at stations throughout the museum, learn with their parents at family science lab stations and recharge at healthy snack stations. For adults we have health screenings, health and wellness information booths and information on healthy eating with snacks to sample!

March is National Kidney month. Call it urine, pee pee, or number 1, learn how the kidneys rid the body of excess waste and liquids at the Live Science Dissection―a sheep kidney dissection on Saturdays and Sundays during March. Playing at Houston’s only 4D Movie Theater is “Planet you 4D,” explore an alien world in a microscopic journey into the foreign landscape that is your skin! Other exhibits include You: The Exhibit, a learning environment that allows investigation all about your body, and The Amazing Body Pavilion, a larger-than-life walking tour through the human body.
The John P. McGovern Museum of Health & Medical Science, also known as The Health Museum, is a member institution of the world-renowned Texas Medical Center and is located in the heart of Houston’s Museum District at 1515 Hermann Drive Houston, TX 77004. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Tuesday through Saturday, and noon to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Admission is $8 for adults and $6 for children ages 3 – 12 and senior adults.
