Join us for a film screening of HBO's "BAGHDAD ER" with remarks by the film's co-director/co-producer and former International Reporting Project Fellow Matthew O'Neill.

According to HBO, "BAGHDAD ER" "capture[s] the humanity, hardships and heroism of the U.S. Military and medical personnel of the 86th Combat Support Hospital, the Army's premier medical facility in Iraq. Sometimes graphic in its depiction of combat-related wounds, 'BAGHDAD ER' offers an unflinching and honest account of the realities of war."

The event is free and open to the public, but seating is limited. Please RSVP to irp@jhu.edu or 202-663-7726.

O'Neill will talk about his experiences making this powerful film. O'Neill is an Emmy-award-winning video journalist with Downtown Community Television Center (DCTV). He has produced documentaries on China, Bolivia, Venezuela, and other countries for networks including HBO, the Discovery Times Channel, and PBS.

"'Baghdad ER,' which brings the war home more painfully than perhaps any other film has done, or tried to do, is sheer, if bitter, brilliance." - Tom Shales, The Washington Post
