Come to the 3rd HBase User Group meeting. HBase (hbase.org) is a scalable, distributed, column-oriented store whose goal is the hosting of billions of rows of sparse data. HBase is open source and part of the Hadoop project.
Come if you're a current user of HBase; or if your company has plans for a huge data store and you're evaluating solutions.
There'll be a presentation on powerset's use of hbase as well as current state of hbase. We'll also be asking attendees what they think the focus for 0.3 release of hbase should be.
Powerset is on the 3rd floor in Ste. 330 at 475 Brannan Street in San Francisco. You'll have to sign in with the guard downstairs, but we'll let 'em know you're coming if you sign up here.
