On New Year’s Day 2009 Hawthorne Race Course, 3501 S. Laramie, will feature a “Cure Your Hangover” party from 12:30 p.m. to 4 p.m. Live horseracing begins at 1:25 p.m. The event will take place in the Hawthorne Race Course’s historic Turf Club. $20 per person includes a three and a half hour buffet lunch and house bar, as well as ten free10-cent jackpot bets on Swedish horseracing with average prize pools worth over ten million dollars.
The lavish lunch buffet will include hot wings, beef sandwiches, pizza, and wine, draft beer and soda will be served at the house bar. Swedish models will pass out ten free V75 bets to each partygoer. The ten cent bets can pay millions of dollars in jackpot and will be available for purchase as well.
