Join our hawk counters on our ADA-accessible tower and witness the spectacle of hawks in migration. Observers have documented 27 raptor species in the park, often 14 or more in one day, including Rio Grande Valley specialties like gray hawk and hook-billed kite, and on a few occasions nearly ten thousand broad-winged hawks in a morning. Bring binoculars, sunhat, sun block and drinking water, or buy it all in our park store before riding to the tower on the park's tram.
