Hawai'i Shakuhachi Festival 2006 November 9, 2006

HSF06 TUTORS, experienced workshop teachers from Japan, USA and Australia.
The following tentative list of teachers include some of the most experienced shakuhachi teachers in the world, especially in the context of festival workshops.
The final list of tutors will be determined in the coming weeks.
From Japan: Christopher Blasdel, Teruo Furuya, Kaoru Kakizakai, and Kazushi Matama
From USA: Steve Casano, Robert Herr, and Stan Richardson
From Australia: Riley Lee

The 2nd Hawaii Shakuhachi Festival will be held at the University of Hawai'i at Manôa Music Department, Honolulu Hawai'i 9-12 November 2006. The Festival will be as rewarding as ever, we hope with more faculty and participants than ever before.

As an official event sponsored by the University of Hawai'i, HSF06 has secured accommodation at East-West Center, a short walk through the beautiful campus of the University to the Music Department. It is nearly half the cost of hotel rooms in nearby Waikiki, and doesn't require a bus ride.
