Powerboat Racing Returns to Haverhill August 28&29

Hydroplane and runabout races on the Merrimack River in Haverhill, MA. Hosted by the Crescent Yacht Club and the South Shore Outboard Association. Eighty boats will compete in 24 races per day from 11:30 to 5:00 pm. Saturday will feature the Northeast Divisional Marathon Championship Race at 11:30 am. The races are nationally sanctioned by the American Powerboat Association. Racers from the US and Canada will compete for National Points. Spectators are welcome to come to the Yacht Club and see the race boats up close and meet the drivers. The Crescent Yacht Club will host a cookout with refreshments throughout the day. Race viewing from the Crescent Yacht Club and the Buttonwood Trail.
