HAVE SOME SHORTCAKE IN THE PARK!
There will be tons of strawberries – and plenty of whipped cream at Music in the Park near
the Gazebo in Falls Park, Pendleton on Sunday, June 24th at 5:00 p.m. Pendleton’s Sigma Phi Gamma Sorority will be scooping up the delectable dessert and The Pendleton Lions
Club will be selling hot dogs and soft drinks.
Carriage rides will be available during the concert.
The fifty-member Lapel Community Band will be providing the music. John Parshall, last year’s Pendleton Heights High School’s interim band director, will conduct. The band plays approximately ten concerts a year.
This is the first in a series of three Music in the Park concerts offered this year by the Pendleton Community Library. The concerts are sponsored by The Pendleton Lions Club.
The next concert will be country and western music with Pendleton resident, Jeff Mahoney and the Second Chance Band scheduled for Sunday, July 15th at 6:00 p.m.
Shake out your blanket and grab those lawn chairs off the front porch for an evening of dancing, singing, and relaxing in a picturesque outdoor setting. Don’t forget the kids!
If it rains, the concert will be relocated to the Pendleton Heights High School auditorium.
