Have-a-Heart Weekend - Fort Lauderdale February 7, 2009

During this Have-a-Heart weekend you will be able to explore heart health. The Museum will host representatives from the American Heart Association of Broward County, the Florida Heart Research Institute, and The Mended Hearts of Ft. Lauderdale.

Kids can make a Valentine’s Day Card, watch a heart dissection, test their heart’s endurance in a jump rope contest, and participate in interactive presentations by doctors from the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital.

How Much Blood Do You Have In You? 3:30 p.m.
Valentine’s Day Card 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.

Community Blood Centers of South Florida
The Community Blood Centers of South Florida will be at the Museum with their blood mobile so that you can donate blood to help save others in need.

Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue
February 8 ONLY 2:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Ft. Lauderdale Fire Rescue will be on site giving ambulance tours and showing the equipment they use to save lives.
