On September 7 at 1pm, kids will read about a mouse that goes to school in the book “If You Take a Mouse to School” by Laura Numeroff, and then kids will go on an adventure with the modern classic “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale” by Mo Willems. To get in the spirit of Knuffle Bunny, kids will make their very own sock puppet.
Join us on September 19 at 3pm as kids read about the beautiful autumn leaves, apple picking and going on hayrides at the county fair in “Let It Fall” by Maryann Cocca-Leffler. In “Crazy Hair Day” by Barney Saltzberg, kids will learn about acceptance as they read about a hair-raising school situation that Stanley Birdbaum experiences. Kids will also make their own fall nature collecting jar, and enjoy a snack.
Storytime at all “Little Kids” events provided by the El Cajon Public Library and the make-and-take craft assistance at all events is provided by the City of El Cajon Recreation Department. Find out more about their fun activities at the Library’s Web site, www.sdcl.org, or visit the Rec Department at www.elcajonrec.org.
