HAVE A “FANTASTIC FALL” AT WESTFIELD NORTH COUNTY WITH FREE WESTFIELD FAMILY FUN DAYS FOR TODDLERS AND KIDS 6 & UP September 3, 2012

Family Fun Days for Little Kids (Ages 2-5) 10am-11am

On September 3, kids will read about a mouse that goes to school in the book “If You Take a Mouse to School” by Laura Numeroff, and then kids will go on an adventure with the modern classic “Knuffle Bunny: A Cautionary Tale” by Mo Willems. To get in the spirit of Knuffle Bunny, kids will make their very own sock puppet. The Hullaballoo Band will be playing the time-tested favorites we all grew up with and will sing songs that make kids laugh, think, sing, dance, clap and stomp their feet! Participants can also enter to win $10 Starbucks gift cards!
Join us on September 17 as kids read about the beautiful autumn leaves, apple picking and going on hayrides at the county fair in “Let It Fall” by Maryann Cocca-Leffler. In “Crazy Hair Day” by Barney Saltzberg, kids will learn about acceptance as they read about a hair-raising school situation that Stanley Birdbaum experiences. Kids will also make their own fall nature collecting jar, and enjoy a snack.

Family Fun Days Big Kids (Ages 6 & Up) 11am-12pm

Join us at our Family Fun Day for Big Kids event (ages 6 & up) on September 17. Kids will create their very own scrapbook where they will be able to include photos from their summer break, the school year, or the entire year. Kids are encouraged to bring photos with them or create placeholders for their photos. Westifeld North County will also be raffling off $5 gift certificate to North County Tavern & Bowl.
