Havana's Annual Pumpkin Festival October 17, 2008

The annual Pumpkin Festival is Havana's signature event and the perfect way to celebrate the beautiful fall season. Streets are lined with art, crafts, and food vendors selling their wares. The town comes alive in a carnival-like atmosphere full of activities for the entire family to include a costume contests for all ages and the dogs. Don't forget the start of this fun day at 7 AM with a Pancake Breakfast($5.00 per plate)under the pavilion at Planter's Exchange. Local merchants show their creativity with beautiful displays of pumpkins, Halloween and fall decor.

Visit the uniquely-decorated 'pumpkin patch' where you can purchase that perfect pumpkin and hear an fashioned yarn told by the mesmerizing storyteller! Pumpkin festival preceeds benefit, in part, Native Americans and the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation.
