Join us at Fiction Addiction where Jason Profit will be signing Haunted Greenville, $19.99 in paperback. Haunted Greenville aims to bring readers up close and personal encounters with some of Greenville’s most little known haunted locations. Our journey begins with the Greenville Army Store, one of the oldest businesses downtown that is still run by the same family that opened it around 1946, and still haunted by the founder, Mr. Zaglin. Around the corner from the Army Store is the former location of the Chicora Women’s College, which is one of the most actively haunted locations downtown, where lost souls are often spotted wandering.
Jason Profit is the owner and operator of Greenville Ghost Tour which gets about 1,500 to 2,000 annual attendees. The tour operates all year long, but the peak season is September and October. He is also a paranormal investigator and teaches a basic ghost hunting class. Jason also intends to start up a haunted pub crawl this year, and he has 4,700 followers on Twitter as well as a popular Facebook account. Jason has been interviewed by Chris Cato (WSPA news) and Amy Wood (WSPA news), as well as The Upstate Show on WORD 1330am/ 106.3fm (where he is a regular live guest). Steve Sinicropi of Clear Channel / Cox Radio works promo deals with Jason every year, and they manage three of the bigger Greenville radio stations (107.3 WJMZ, 98.1 and WSSL.) In 2010 they held ticket giveaways as a promo for The Greenville Ghost Tour. Fox 21 News just recently mentioned the Greenville Ghost Tour as an interesting local attraction on a Wednesday night broadcast, and Skirt magazine featured Jason Profit in the March 2010 issue under the section “He’s so original.”
